Waterproof application

Waterproofing mortars always are classify as 1-Component and 2-Component Waterproofing.

1-Component (1K) Cementitious Waterproofing is a ready-mix dry powder that only requires the addition of water. 2-Component (2K) Cementitious Waterproofing is a two-part system combining a cementitious powder and a liquid polymer emulsion.

This test evaluates the mortar’s resistance to water penetration under pressure, ensuring its effectiveness as a waterproof barrier in construction applications.

Water-drop test

This test assesses the surface hydrophobicity by observing how water droplets behave on the mortar. A well-performing waterproof mortar will repel water, with droplets remaining on the surface without absorption.

Water absorption test

Immerse the sample in water (usually at room temperature) for 24 hours. After immersion, remove surface water with a cloth and weigh the sample again. Lower absorption values indicate better waterproofing performance.
